My family had our Sunday brunch here before going to a theater show. The food is amazing! Complex flavors and generous portions. Service is good and the ambiance is upbeat. This is our first time here and we are pleasantly surprised by it. Definitely will be back and try other dishes.

$5 Breakfast sandwiches 8-11am. Got the "Messy Mess" which, as per website is "Runny egg, fried chicken cutlet, devil dip, American cheese, chipotle rémoulade, tomato, butter-toasted roll." Sandwich was the perfect size with well balanced proportions of each ingredient. Chicken was juicy and tender and not too large for the sandwich. Spicy, sweet, and savory. Excellent sandwich, a must get if you're in Civic Center area!

This review is for my recent takeout experiences - which were welcoming, speedy, and friendly. Hooray for Brenda's Kickass Breakfast Club with $5 breakfast sandwiches and $1.99 sides (cup of coffee, small potato hash, plain beignet, small grits) with purchase of a breakfast sandwich. Great way to start the day if you live or work nearby. I had a Basic B on my first visit and a Pillow Queen for the next and they were yummy. Nice soft buns, not dry. They seemed cooked to order, not sitting around under a heat lamp. As I waited for my order, the server also mentioned after 10 sandwiches, you get one free. I'll definitely be back to try out other sandwiches and to get my frequent buyer card stamped.

So this is by far one of my favorite spots to visit in SFO. I have not been since post covid but as usual the food is consistent and did not disappoint. Now Tenderloin district is something else, Uber. Don't walk, ever. But the servers were all amazing , they made great recommendations and really curated everything we asked about on the menu. The location is very small snd hole in the wall, so make reservations... but when I tell you I tell everyone about this place and ALWAYS have to take my beignets to go because I just can't get enough!!
